Spiced Apple and Onion Pork Chops

I got some pork chops on sale this week at the store, and wanted a fun way to serve them up. So I gave them a little bit of sweet and spice, and served them with a side of roasted green beans with red peppers.

2 large pork chops (I used without bone)
1 large apple, sliced
1/2 red onion, sliced
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 cup water
Salt and pepper to taste

In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add a couple tablespoons olive oil and let the pan get warmed up. Salt and pepper one side of the chops and lay that side down in the pan. Salt and pepper the other side and after 5-7 minutes flip the chop over. After both sides have been cooked take the out of the pan and add the apples, onions, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Cook together for a couple of minutes then add the pork chops back to the pan, covering them with the mixture and add the water. Turn the heat down to low and simmer for about 10 minutes.
